After Day session in which he addressed mentees’ queries on Affiliate marketing, which was a brilliant session in many ways, Mr. Shan has a lot to live up to.

From Day 1 of the 100 days digital mastery challenge a question revolving in every peoples mind would have been, how do we choose a niche or what is a niche. Whenever Mr. Shan talks about Onlne marketing or creating a website, he never forgets to talk about the importance of choosing the right niche. As for me, I tried searching in Google about what is a niche and stuff. But I was still not much clear about how do we choose a niche and based on what factors. Since siche selection seemed an important decision, I did not want to rush on with it brfore Mr. Shan’s class on it to have a better perspective on the same. So, in a way, this is one of those sessions we have been waiting for.

He also talked briefly about Google SEO 101 tricks. Well, that was just too much to take in. I hope he elaborates on the topic in the coming days.

In conclusion, he covered a topic, which might be the most important topic to start with in case of online marketing, eloquently and elaborately. His concepts were clear throughout the session and he gave a touch of his own experience on the topic, which made it even more interesting and insightful. Step by step breakdown of how to and introducing us to 150 different niche ideas did help in having a wide range of thought process about it.

Well, it is the time to start brainstorming with your ideas people. You now know the aspects you got to think before getting into the online business.

Work on your ideas. Research on it. Take your time and decide for yourself. And importantly, do not outsource this step.

Everyday I have been trying to keep you peopleupdated with Shan's ADM digital Mastery challenge. It was a long day for me with a lot of personal engagements myself. Reached home just in time to attend the session. The program has started to becone a routine for me.

I attended the session and went to sleep then and there. I thoughtI would take a pass on this session. When I Woke up in the morning and once when I went through the notes I wrote (even while dozzing off), I thought I will share it with you. The things he talked about in the session would be really helpful to people who had started thinking about starting with affiliate marketing.

Once you go through the takeaways of the session you will know why.

The interest invoked by him in people about the possibilities and opportunities that lie in affiliate marketing was reflected in the number of questions and doubts mentees had about the topic. In the session, he covered almost 300+ questions the mentees asked after the affiliate marketing class on day THREE. It was a nice move to incorporate all the mentees' doubts and clarifying it over the class.

So lets get on with the topics covered

How much are the Affiliate commissions?

Most websites ask for a sign up to disclose the commissions as in flipkart, amazon etc. Amazon usually deals with around 10 percent commissions.

Product based affiliate programs

Eg. 

Fashion affiliate programs like H & M gives 7.4 percent commission with 10 days cookies time

Beauty and Makeup affiliate programs as in Sephora gives 5-10 percent with 24 hours cookies time.

Gaming affiliate programs are a good niche to look into.

Music affiliate programs give around 65 to even 70 percent commissions.

What is the guarantee that these companies pay affiliate commissions?

Mr. Shan did give a brief talk about the credibility of some sites. My takeaway from that would be, LOOK at Mr. Shan.

How to find a good affiliate program?

How to find CPA, CPL, CPM, CPS, CPV, CPC etc. ?

How to find affiliate program or affiliate network?

There are TWO choices for affiliate marketing :

  • Affiliate Directly with the individual company
  • Affiliate with Affiliate networks

ADM digital mastery recommends to Mix and Match both the methods.

  • Clickbank provides you with a wide range of downloadable products
  • E – junkie also has downloadable products giving even 100 percent commissions in many products

15 Golden Rules (Strategy 7/100)

  • Focus on keywords people search for and not on the keywords you ‘think’ people search for. Keyword research is important.
  • Research for the best affiliate program options
  • Don’t pick just any niche
  • Take baby steps
  • Make your website SEO friendly
  • Be honest with your audience
  • Learn about the products you are promoting
  • Make your content worth reading
  • Start blogging
  • Make a plan. Do not have just an idea in your head. Create a well-defined plan document.
  • Assess your results frequently and periodically. Some strategies fail and some strategies work. Keep a track of it to enhance your efficiency.
  • Love what you do. Keep up the spirits.
  • Use tools to increase traffic and leads
  • Know your product and know your audience
  • Build a team for yourself whether it be professionals, friends or relatives

As mentioned in 3rd session of ADM's Digital Mastery Challenge, for Affiliate marketing, the best exit plan to have would be, Website flipping. Website flipping is basically the process of buying a website, working on it, improving it and finally selling it for a better price.

How to flip my website?

  • Brand loyalty of customers increases the value by almost 20 times

 Mentees worries on doing everything by themselves and implementing different strategies like SEO, marketing strategies etc. was answered by assuring that it will all be explained during the 100 days challenge.

  •  How are we going to implement the affiliate marketing who has no blog or website in 100 days and start working?

As you saw here, this session was based on a lot of 'how to' questions that would really help us in researching, selecting, improvising, and implementing different strategies that were introduced to us over the past sessions and even for upcoming sessions.

The challenge has started keeping up to the promise of bringing up even ordinary homemakers and housewives who might have no experience in the online world and who doesnt know how researching and searching online works. One of the catchy phrases I saw about the programme was She Commerce. I hope the company lives up to the idea of enabling the housewives and women at homes busy with their chores and not able to go for a full time job, to have themselves the knowledge to build their own businesses working from home.
